Typhoon!!

The typhoon came and hit the other side of the island, thank goodness! It was bad enough on our side. The winds got up to speeds of over 100 mph and I though my balcony door was going to shatter! We had to get extra water and food the day before in case we didn't have running water afterwards but thankfully it wasn't that bad. We did lose power for a little while though and it kept me up most the night. Once the winds died down a little I went outside and it was actually pretty cool and you could watch see the water was all choppy and churned up. The funny thing is that even when it was super windy and rainy out there were still people driving in their cars! These locals are crazy! The next day on the news we saw a giant tree had gotten ripped out and there were trees and debris all over our side of the island too! All the traffic lights were facing the wrong way and a lot of them didn't work at all. It was a pretty cool experience though and my dad says there might be another one coming this weekend!!
