Ryukyu glass!

I've been waiting to put this post up until I got my cup and we just picked it up today so I'm super excited! Ryukyu Glass Mira is in Ryukyu Village down on the south end of the island. There are a few shops you can go to and you can make a cup too! You don't get to do a whole lot but you do get to blow it in the mold and also roll out the top. It's a lot of fun to experience and you get a cup out of it too! I also purchased a little bowl and a cute little owl. Along with the glass company we stopped at the peace park. It was absolutely beautiful and a little bit sad also. There are rows of names of people who died in the war and an exhibit in the museum that has some very sad pictures of little kids who died and the conditions they lived in after the war. They had room with a poem of some sort on the wall that said basically that war is horrible and we should always try to avoid it. I completely agree.
